A DIALOGUE
- Photographers usually have a story to tell. What’s yours?
-
- Am I really a photographer? OK, my medium is photography, but does that necessarily make me a photographer? And what’s the point of such a question? If there is an answer, I am not the one to deliver it. I prefer uncertainty and a lasting enigma before an illusory and temporary knowledge. My photography is not about delivering statements or providing answers. It serves no purpose. It does not pretend to be anything but what it is: everything and nothing. That’s a non-statement. And a non-answer.
- So you are a photographer after all!
- I am merely an agent of the indivisible. Where no questions are asked, no answers given. No stories told. A messenger of the imaginary. Is that the message? If not, that’s the message. But after all, this is an invitation. To share and communicate experiences and ideas, whether real or imaginary. That’s a message.
- OK, I understand. At least I think I do.
- Good!
